DAVID CANE

Singing Teacher - Music theory - Sight singing

Hi, my name is David and I’m a baritone. I started singing as a chorister in Leicester Cathedral Choir when I was about 8 years old, and haven’t stopped singing since.

I studied for my undergraduate degree at the University of Cambridge where I sang as a choral scholar in the world-famous King’s College chapel choir. With the choir I sang the daily services, took part in radio and TV broadcasts and had the opportunity to go on tour to concert venues all around the world.

I then completed my postgraduate studies in vocal performance at the Royal Northern College of Music and have been performing regularly since then both as a soloist and in choirs.

As well as performing, I have been teaching singing for just under 10 years in a variety of settings to singers of all ages, from 8 to 80! I have lots of experience in preparing students for ABRSM and Trinity exams, with a significant number achieving merit and distinction results.
