We are delighted to announce that Jonathan Scott has accepted our invitation to become Patron of Oldham Choral Society.

" It is my great pleasure and honour to accept the appointment of Patron of Oldham Choral Society.
 As a local musician, it is wonderful to see that the continuing musical heritage of Oldham is thriving through the Choir's activities and performances.
I look forward to supporting them for many years to come."

 BIOGRAPHY
   Jonathan enjoys a hugely varied international performing career on a diverse
    spectrum of keyboard instruments and is known throughout the world for his
    virtuoso arrangements of major orchestral music for the pipe organ.

    He performs regularly at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, where his lunchtime
    organ  concerts attract huge regular audiences.

     With his brother Tom, also a talented musician, his performance videos have
     have achieved more than 80 million views.

     Born locally, Jonathan studied piano and organ at Chetham's  School of Music,
     The Royal Northern College of Music and then in the USA and the Netherlands.
     He has been awarded The Worshipful Company of Musicians WT Scholarship
     and Gold Medal. He is also a Freeman of the City of London.
     He continues to attract the support of audiences world-wide playing on great pipe
     organs in prestigious concert halls and cathedrals. He has played to a packed house
     this year (2024)in the Promenade Concerts at The Royal Albert Hall. His was the
     only solo organ concert to be performed in this year's extensive programme - a real
     accolade recognising as it does his  virtuoso skills as a talented musician.

     He continues to give great enjoyment to multitudes of people enthralled by his
     musical talent wherever he performs in the world.
